James M. Sweeney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has been the Founder and CEO of eight successful healthcare product and service companies including Caremark, Bridge Medical and CardioNet. Mr. Sweeney's wealth of experience and relationships in the healthcare industry, combined with his unique ability as an entrepreneur to identify and solve industry challenges, serves as the foundation for PatientSafe as the company addresses the important cause for patient safety.
Mr. Sweeney has named the following executives to his management team:
Gregg Imamoto, CPA, Chief Operating Officer, is a seasoned C-Suite Senior Executive with extensive operating experience in multiple industries. Mr. Imamoto brings a demonstrated record of accomplishment in global business with a specialization in operational and financial turnarounds.
Ray A. Ghanbari, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, Product Development, is responsible for product marketing, product development, research and development, quality assurance and program management for the company. With deep industry expertise, Dr. Ghanbari brings extensive executive experience from several healthcare and technology companies including, Vital Images, UnitedHealth Group and Overture/Yahoo!
Tim Rich, Vice President, Sales, brings C-Suite experience to the Sales function while being responsible for developing and leading all strategic facets of the company's sales efforts. Mr. Rich has served as an executive for healthcare providers and technology companies including, MedPlus a Quest Diagnostics Company, MedUnite and Antrum Corporation.
Shawn Orr, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for the company's field implementation, clinical and back-office operations. As a proven operations executive, Mr. Orr brings critical expertise to the company and his prior experience within the healthcare industry is extremely valuable in exceeding customer expectations.
Erin Lafferty, MBA, CPA, Vice President, Finance, is responsible for the finance and accounting functions of the organization. Ms. Lafferty is a seasoned financial executive who most recently was running her own consulting business, servicing both the software and biotech industries.
Si Luo, Business Development, is actively involved in the strategic planning and product management efforts for the company. He is also responsible for coordinating communications with customers, investors, vendors, strategic partners, and government agencies.
