Patient Access Solutions, Inc. Signs Agreement with Sandata Technologies LLC
Integration of PASHealth's Mobipen with Sandata's Santrax Agency Management Will Enhance Home Care Solutions Nationwide
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. and HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patient Access Solutions, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PASO), a provider of healthcare technology and financial processing technologies for the healthcare and home care industry and Sandata Technologies, LLC, a leading nationwide provider of information technology solutions to the home healthcare and social services communities, today proudly announced an agreement, whereby Patient Access Solutions will be integrating the PASHealth Mobipen solution into Sandata's Santrax Agency Management (SAM) suite of solutions for the home healthcare industry.
Santrax Telephony (STx) is Sandata's market leading Electronic Visit Verification and Time and Attendance Tracking solution. The integration of the PASHealth Mobipen into Sandata's suite of solutions will allow its home healthcare customers to utilize the digital paper and pen documentation technology. Currently, over 40% of Home Health Agencies' documentation is still done with a traditional pen and paper format. Sandata and Patient Access Solutions' agreement will provide the large number of paper-based home healthcare agencies with a new solution for optimizing their operational work flows.
Current conservative estimates, within this combined application, indicate there are over 100,000 potential licensed user opportunities, where nurses and nurse aides can use the current pen and paper based tracking system with their recipients. PASHealth, utilizing its exclusive patented Mobipen electronic application, will automate the various paper tracking forms in a proven efficient and productive manner, thus saving valuable time and money. The technology is currently utilized by home health care providers and has clearly demonstrated significant savings versus using a manual paper based system.
Through this agreement, Sandata and PAS both anticipate important new revenue streams to be generated. These combined capabilities are expected to help home care agencies to focus on reducing fraud, abuse and waste, giving them proper documentation at their fingertips.
Harold S. Blue, CEO of Sandata Technologies stated, "This marketing agreement with PAS represents another example of Sandata delivering innovative technologies that improve our home healthcare customers' bottom line. We decided to partner with PAS and offer the digital pen solution after talking with current users that raved about its ease of use and the immediate impact the technology delivered by reducing agency billing paperwork."
"Sandata has over 30 years of experience as the pioneer of electronic time and attendance in home care, and its patented Santrax system, is clearly the market leader," said Bruce Weitzberg CEO, Patient Access Solutions. "Our growing base of home care clients is looking for total solutions, and this Mobipen integration fills that void for the client base of both companies."
