Path2Parenthood to Honor Jane Monzures, Host of "Living Healthy Chicago," at Illuminations Chicago 2017
Other honorees are fabled American ice hockey player, Jim Cummins, and beloved reproductive endocrinologist, Reena Jabamoni, M.D.
NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading family-building nonprofit, Path2Parenthood (P2P), is pleased to announce that popular radio and television personality, Jane Monzures, will receive their coveted Advocacy Award, at Illuminations Chicago, on Saturday, September 9th. Former recipients of the award Include Nia Vardalos, Sir Elton John & David Furnish, Ioan Gruffudd & Alice Evans, and GloZell Green. "Jane Monzures is one of the most talented talk show hosts in the U.S. today. She is being honored for her contributions to the attention she brings to healthcare and fertility issues on her television show Living Healthy. We are very proud to call her our friend and our mentor," says Path2Parenthood board member and Vios Fertility Reproductive Endocrinologist and Medical Director, Angeline Beltsos, M.D., who will present the award to Monzures that evening.
Monzures is well known for her commitment to issues concerning women's health, and fertility. The DIY diva is beloved for her honest, upbeat news reporting, and evident love of family, especially her own. Monzures brings this passion to everything she does, recently interviewing all-grown-up IVF babies, Louise Brown, and Elizabeth Carr. Brown was the first person in the world born through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 1978. Carr was the first baby born via the procedure in the U.S., several years later.

Reproductive endocrinologist, Reena Jabamoni, M.D., who is affiliated with St. Alexius Medical Center, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Jabamoni will receive The Joyce M. Vargyas, M.D. Visionary Award. The beloved doctor was one of the first infertility specialists in the Chicago area, and is credited with training hundreds of OB/GYN resident physicians. Through her work, thousands of hopeful parents have achieved their dreams of having a child.
American ice hockey player, Jimmy Cummins, who will be acknowledged for his commitment to men's health. Cummins played professional hockey for the Chicago Blackhawks from 1994 to 1998. He was drafted 67th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft, and played in four leagues over the course of his career.
Illuminations Chicago is Path2Parenthood's local fundraiser. The gala honors those who have made significant contributions to the fields of fertility, reproductive health and family building. This year's event will take place on Saturday, September 9th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., aboard the elegant cruise ship, Odyssey Chicago.
