Key Characteristics & Benefits
Lot 020 - Facial/Voice Recognition Technology
This portfolio discloses a system for identifying individuals based on biometric information. Biometric analysis, such as voice or facial recognition, is commonly used by government agencies, banks and other institutions accurate identification. The portable system available for sale uses various devices, such as a camera and microphone, to obtain the biometrics of an individual. This information is then compared with information stored in a database that is updated regularly as a user meets and stores biometrics of new individuals. When the invention is utilized, the system assists a user in easily and quickly recalling individuals. During interactions, that person's identity is displayed on the screen of the user's portable device, and is also transmitted to a wireless hearing aid inserted into the ear of the user.
Lot 021 - Locating and Positioning Technology
This portfolio discloses a portable device that uses stored images to locate misplaced objects. To start, various images of different objects are captured and stored in a database. The stored images as well as the user's current position are used to identify the location of the object and update the database accordingly. The device then guides the user to the object through textual or audio/visual cues. Further, voice and textual commands can be provided by the user for searching the database. This improved technology eliminates the need to embed transponders or tags in objects in order to locate such items.
