Patent attorney Mark C. Guinto joins McDonald Hopkins

CLEVELAND, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark C. Guinto has joined the Cleveland office of McDonald Hopkins as an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Department.

Guinto joins McDonald Hopkins after two years at a Cleveland-based intellectual property firm where he handled all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution for clients both domestically and internationally. He has depth of knowledge in technical fields and substantive patent experience, including computer and cellular communications, electronics, electromechanics, bioelectronics, microprocessors, consumer products, and software systems. Guinto has relevant experience working with in-house counsel and inventors to develop patenting strategies, as well as preparing patentability issue reports, analyzing issues of copyright infringement, and drafting cease and desist letters for copyright infringement cases.

Guinto received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he served as vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA). He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Dayton.
