Pastor of Puerto Rico's Largest Church Congregation Joins NHCLC
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (www.NHCLC.org), announces the appointment of Apostle Wanda Rolon, pastor of Puerto Rico's largest congregation, to the NHCLC Board of Directors.

Wanda Rolon grew up in Puerto Rico, spent several years in the world of finance and went on to complete her Theological studies at the interdenominational Theological Institute. Her pastorate began in the town of Toa Alta, with a congregation composed of seven people. Wanda Rolon and her husband, Pastor Paul Ortega, founded La Primera Iglesia Cristiana La Senda Antigua in 1992. By July 2000 she opened the Tabernacle of Praise and Restoration La Senda Antigua, a growing church, which now exceeds 3,500 in membership.
She has been the keynote speaker at state and city prayer breakfasts, tributes and other activities in government agencies, both at the Senate and the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico, and also speaks internationally. Wanda Rolon annually organizes and holds "Dios Alumbra Puerto Rico" on the north steps of the Capitol of Puerto Rico, which brings thousands of people from different denominations and sectors of society, including senators, mayors and representatives of the Government, to pray and intercede for Puerto Rico.
Wanda Rolon is the founder and president of the Conciliar Movement of Restoration La Senda Antigua, Inc., and the founder of the International Movement of Women of Power, Purpose and Excellence. She is also the founder and president of Senda Broadcasting Network in Puerto Rico, the Yarah Christian Academy, La Senda Casona retreat center, and the Apostolic College La Senda Antigua (C.A.S.A.), which offers theological degrees from associate to Ph.D.
On September 7, 2013 Wanda Rolon officially became the new face for CTNi, Christian Television Network International, broadcasting from Wanda Rolon Ministries in Puerto Rico. Through this network she preaches in more than sixty Spanish-speaking countries worldwide.
In 2013 she organized the interdenominational "PR por la Familia" and was nominated as spokesmen, Dr. Cesar Vazquez Muniz. She was a key player, along with other leaders, in the organization of the largest rally in the history of Puerto Rico when more than 200,000 people and leaders of all religious sectors of the country united in San Juan in defense of the institution of the family.
Wanda Rolon is the recipient and many awards and has been a member of the "Board of Reference" of Oral Roberts University since 2011.
