6th Annual Bucktown Apple Pie Contest at Holstein Park

WHAT: The 6th Annual Bucktown Apple Pie Contest is a fierce competition between 150 bakers in front of a panel of celebrity judges, including Gail Gand, and foodies for the coveted blue ribbon. Non-bakers can put their own taste buds up against the judges' by purchasing slices of the entries. Other attractions will include live bluegrass music, by Tangleweed, along with square dancing and a silent auction. Children can enjoy pony rides, arts and crafts, face painting and a bounce-house. WHY: An urban country fair by the Friends of Holstein Park to raise much-needed funds for park programming and improvements. All proceeds support Holstein Park.
