Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare Welcomes Mara Benner to Home Health Advocacy Team
Benner brings unmatched expertise in home health policy and senior care delivery
WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare today announced that Mara Benner – former Vice President of Government Relations at Gentiva Health Services – will be joining the organization's advocacy team, which is dedicated to developing and advancing innovative reforms to improve the quality, efficiency and integrity of home healthcare.

Most recently, Benner has collaborated with policymakers and stakeholders across the home health community to develop new healthcare delivery models and quality initiatives to support the delivery of skilled home healthcare for the Medicare population. She also brings with her strong relationships with legislative and regularity entities including Congress, CMS and MedPAC.
Before joining Gentiva, Benner served as Vice President of Government Relations at the American Association for Homecare, Executive Director of the Maryland National Capital Homecare Association and Executive Director of the Home Health Services and Staffing Association. She has also held leadership roles with the National Association for Medical Equipment Services and Home and Health Care Association in Boston. Prior to joining the private sector, Benner worked on Capitol Hill as both a Senior Legislative Assistant and Legislative Correspondent.
Benner has always had a personal interest in senior care issues and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology.
