Parrot Names Gregg Clark Sales Director of OES
Pro Series program to benefit dealerships, suppliers
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Parrot, a leader in wireless peripherals for mobile phones, announces that Gregg Clark has been named sales director in charge of OES sales for the United States.
"Gregg has been working in the OEM and OES space for more than a decade," said Parrot's North American Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Christian Coly. "With hands-free laws in several states and an emphasis on the federal level, automotive accessory suppliers know that hands-free car kits are no longer a 'nice to have.'"
Clark brings with him a wealth of experience in the OEM automotive and consumer electronics world. Prior to Parrot, Clark was senior manager of OEM marketing at iBiquity Digital where he helped to launch more than 115 vehicles with 14 different brands. He spent 12 years at Bose Corp. as an account manager and at Shure Inc. as manager of global channel marketing, as well as with Visteon as a marketing manager and business development manager.
With a growing demand from auto dealerships and suppliers, Parrot is bolstering its original equipment supplier (OES) channel with a re-launch of its Pro Series program.
"Because consumers keep their vehicles longer, hands-free integration provides opportunities for dealers to maintain relationships with customers," Coly said. "Also, with used car sales, dealers can provide an additional service to keep drivers compliant with current laws."
Parrot's Pro Series line of products gives customers an integrated Bluetooth solution with unmatched sound quality and automated voice activation. When a customer connects a phone to a Parrot hands-free car kit, the phonebook is downloaded automatically and voice-matched so the customer only has to say the name to make a call.
