ParkVu Announces Music WithMe App for BlackBerry Torch 9800
Music WithMe Makes the Next Generation BlackBerry Smartphone the Go-To Device For Music Listening Pleasure
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- ParkVu, innovators in making media truly mobile, today announced Music WithMe availability on the new Research in Motion (RIM) BlackBerry Torch 9800. BlackBerry Torch smartphone owners can now get all their iTunes* music on their smartphone via a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, even when they are on the go. As a perfect complement to the BlackBerry Torch's enhanced media player, Music WithMe offers a slick and seamless way for smartphone owners to download and store their favorite music on their phone.
"With Music WithMe on the BlackBerry Torch, BlackBerry owners can safely put aside their secondary portable music playing device and use their smartphone to access and store all their favorite iTunes music," said Terry Goertz, co-CEO of ParkVu. "Music WithMe's native OS 6 support allows for wireless sync anytime, anywhere and an exciting playback experience on a revamped media player that will appeal to music aficionados everywhere."
Utilizing the BlackBerry Torch's dual keyboard and touchscreen functionality, Music WithMe allows users to quickly view and manage their iTunes playlists on their device. With just a touch of the screen, users can choose which iTunes playlists they want synced to their device and can watch as their tracks are being downloaded direct to the native media player.
The BlackBerry Torch's media player with new graphical user interface means that all iTunes tracks synced with Music WithMe will be played back with full album art. Users can sort through the tracks in their playlist and quickly decide which song to play. Tracks are stored directly on the device and with the BlackBerry Torch's expanded storage capacity, users can sync an almost limitless amount of their iTunes music.
With Music WithMe users create and amend their playlists as normally within iTunes on their Windows machine. All playlist changes are automatically synced with their smartphone, enabling users to see their latest playlist updates. Music WithMe also supports playlist folders, by selecting the playlist folder on the Music WithMe app all the tracks contained within those playlists are downloaded.
Music WithMe runs in the background and leverages the smartphone's multitasking ability providing automatic sync even when the app is not open. When the desired playlists are selected, the settings are stored directly on the device. Users can view their synced playlists within the media player and play their iTunes music as normally.
Availability
Music WithMe is available at BlackBerry App World for a one-time fee of $14.99 after a free 30-day trial. BlackBerry Torch owners can also access Music WithMe direct from their media player by selecting Music WithMe under Explore Music Apps. Existing Music WithMe BlackBerry users can transfer their Music WithMe account to their new BlackBerry Torch 9800 for free.
