/PRNewswire/ -- Parkopedia, the world's leading parking services provider, announced today that its on-street parking service has now launched in two passenger car models. This includes the revamp of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (with an NTG 5.5 head unit) as part of the Mercedes COMAND Online Navigation system.
Parkopedia is providing drivers with a premium parking service in both Europe and North America; which includes detailed restriction information as well as dynamic space availability and other features.
In addition to the launch in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, the Parkopedia service will be available via the Mercedes.me App. Parkopedia's data will also be accessible to legacy vehicles via Daimler's in-vehicle COMAND Online Systems thanks to the Mercedes.Me App's 'send-to-car functionality'.
Commenting on the announcement, Parkopedia's COO Hans Puvogel said: "This new launch is testament to the successful relationship that Parkopedia and Daimler have built over the last three years. Our partnership began with the integration of Parkopedia data into the Moovel platform back in 2014 and most recently saw us starting to supply off-street data to Mercedes-Benz Cars. To be the supplier to Mercedes-Benz Cars, whose claim is 'The best or nothing', is a real honour."
This announcement was made at CES 2018.
