ParkMe Announces Partnership With The City of Dallas & Major App Update:
DALLAS, Feb. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ParkMe and the City of Dallas have announced updated features for the free ParkMe app that will help drivers find, secure, and pay for available parking downtown. Drivers in Dallas can now access information on parking meter locations through the ParkMe smartphone application which is free to download and available immediately on iOS, Android, & Windows Phones. To make life easier for drivers in Dallas, ParkMe redesigned and fully integrated a feature that gives drivers the ability to pay for parking from their phone using third-party payment providers.
Features of the app include: a visual display of all parking meter locations, direct routing to parking garage entrances, a parking rate calculator that helps drivers find the cheapest option, and a timer that alerts a driver when their parking expires so they can move their vehicle. Additionally, the application integrates with PayByPhone, which allows drivers to pay for parking in Dallas directly through mobile devices at participating parking meters.
"This is a great step in making travel around the City easier for our citizens and visitors," said Dallas City Manager A.C. Gonzalez. "This app is an asset to drivers in Dallas."
ParkMe Director of Marketing Mark Braibanti highlights the importance of getting parking information to the public by putting it online.
"Uninformed drivers waste tons of gas, time, and money in addition to clogging city streets. We want to empower drivers with usable parking information so they can quickly and efficiently find the best place to park depending on their needs," says Braibanti. "We're excited to work with the City of Dallas to help make parking a breeze."
To download the ParkMe app go to iTunes, Google Play, or Windows Phone stores. Users can also access all of this information online at www.parkme.com/link/dallas. Local businesses can even add ParkMe's parking map to their websites for free using the ParkMe Widget Builder.
