Park West Gallery teams up with Miami Beach Edition for VIP event

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Jan. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Park West Gallery had the honor of inaugurating the new Miami Beach Edition hotel's forum space with one of its premiere VIP events Jan. 15 to 18.

The Edition opened in fall 2014, a symbol of Miami Beach's resurgence as a city where people seek out a vibrant art scene. As part of the fine art world, Park West Gallery chose the Edition to hold a VIP event.

"The event was an absolute success as Park West VIP collectors not only met and collected works of art by amazing artists, but also celebrated new friendships and new experiences while enjoying Miami's newest five-star resort," said Jason Betteridge, Park West Gallery auctioneer.

Park West Gallery holds art auctions throughout the year at exclusive hotels as well as at sea on cruise ships, giving Park West VIPs an opportunity to learn more about art and artists straight from the source.

Park West Gallery artists in attendance included David "Lebo" Le Batard of Miami, Marcus Glenn of Detroit and renowned pop artist Peter Max. In addition, Park West Gallery founder and CEO Albert Scaglione made a surprise appearance on Jan. 17 to speak with the VIPs.

"Our objective is to get you to meet as many artists as possible and experience collecting art in this manner," Scaglione said. "But meeting artists and seeing and hearing them talk about the latest work coming out of their studio can often be a life-changing experience."

Scaglione said the VIP group was one of the largest he had seen in South Florida, and felt their enthusiasm while interacting with Lebo.

"Lebo's new show was not just a pleasant surprise for me but a bit overwhelming," he said. "His growth is amazing."

The Edition sits on a 3.5-acre private enclave, consisting of interlinked structures, spaces and settings that include an 18-story tower and 26 condominiums.
