Park West Gallery inspires young artists with National PTA sponsorship
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Park West Foundation, founded by Park West Gallery CEO and Founder Albert Scaglione and his wife, Mitsie, has partnered with the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and its Reflections Arts Program to inspire young artists around the country with a $20,000 sponsorship.
The Reflections Arts Program allows students in all grades to explore and be involved in the arts. The program is implemented by a group of 100 state leaders comprising the State PTA Reflections Network.
The program is kicked off during National Arts in Education Week in the fall and then celebrated in the summer with a national conference.
During the fall, a theme search contest for students is held. The 2016-2017 school year theme is "What is Your Story?" The winner of the contest for the following school year is recognized at the conference.
"The Park West Foundation is proud to partner with the National PTA as a platform to extend our commitment to support art awareness and to foster a love of the arts for students in schools across our nation," says Diane Pandolfi, Director of the foundation. "We look forward to celebrating the innovative accomplishments of emerging artists who participate in this greatly admired student recognition PTA Reflections Program."
The National PTA also supports the Art Management Fellowship at American University in Washington, D.C.
This fellowship offers a full-time graduate student entering into the Art Management Program the chance to receive a scholarship and work for the National PTA at the headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.
Park West Gallery is excited about involvement in this educational endeavor and the opportunity to assist a candidate in completing their training in the arts.
