Park West Gallery hosts Linda Le Kinff exhibition
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Park West Gallery, which hosts fine art auctions on cruise ships, live art auctions in major metropolitan areas and connects artists to fine artwork via its art gallery locations in Detroit and Miami Lakes, Florida, will present the works of artist Linda Le Kinff in an exhibit at its Detroit-area art gallery.
Take a walk through musical scenes, poetic interpretations of people caught in intimate moments, couples elegantly dressed and people out on the town as Park West Gallery unveils 56 new and archival works in "The Poetic World of Linda Le Kinff," running March 6 to March 25 at its gallery in Southfield, Michigan.
The public is invited to an opening reception with light refreshments held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 5. Le Kinff will be in attendance at the opening reception, giving guests a rare opportunity to collect art with the artist present.
The collection includes paintings, graphic works and sculptures from a collection several decades in the making.
"Although influences of Braque, Modigliani, and Matisse exist in Le Kinff's works, she has found a way to incorporate art history as a springboard to launch her identifiably unique style," said David Gorman, Gallery Director. "It is one thing to copy a Braque painting; but to translate that sensuality into a painting never seen before, that is an attribute of a modern master. Her lines are simplistic and impactful. Her colors are deliberate and courageous. Her approach hearkens the past and brings forth a new form of art."
Le Kinff created official artwork for the World Cup and Kentucky Derby, and has had exhibitions in the "Exposition of Prestige," organized by the Ambassador of France in Japan, and at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
Le Kinff started her career at the age of 20. She excels in many different techniques such as the ancient techniques of egg tempera painting and the gold leaf method, as well as more modern techniques such as wood and copper engraving and acrylic and airbrush painting.
To RSVP for the opening reception please call 800-521-9654, ext. 4 or email [email protected].
