Park Elementary to Celebrate School Choice
LYONS, Kan., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National School Choice Week, Park Elementary will host a "We Love Park School!" event 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24.
During the event, teachers and school leaders will present on upcoming changes at Park Elementary and how it can be the best educational establishment for its students. Kalie Leiker and Morgan Walton, second grade teachers involved in the Gemini Project at Park Elementary, will be featured speakers. Parents will also have an opportunity to discuss their expectations and goals for their children's education.
This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
"We are thanking parents for choosing our school, and also showing parents what we are doing to keep our school the best choice of education for their children," said Morgan Walton, who has been teaching at Park Elementary since 2015.
Park Elementary is a traditional public school serving students in grades pre-K to 2.
As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
