Parent Match® Expands to Include Adoption Attorneys, Offering More Choices With Shorter Waits
Nation's First and Only Network for Adoption Professionals Helping Families Adopting in the U.S.
MENDHAM, N.J., Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, Parent Match, the nation's first and only network for adoption professionals, will expand to become available to adoption attorneys. These attorneys will join some of the best-known and respected adoption agencies from across the country who have already embraced the power of Parent Match's patent-pending technology to bring families together faster. By including adoption attorneys in the United States, the Parent Match system will connect even more adoptive parents and expectant mothers, helping adoption professionals offer their clients more options and shorter waits.
"We are thrilled to add attorneys to the Parent Match network. They are a vital part of the adoption community," said Lori Barer Ingber, Ph.D., Founder and President of Parent Match. "Our member agencies have told us how well the system works and how it is helping to make matches that would not have been made any other way."
Launched in 2010, Parent Match creates an entirely new way for adoption professionals to connect with each other safely, easily and confidentially on behalf of their clients. The Parent Match system provides more options for expectant mothers and helps shorten wait times for adopting families, ultimately bringing children home faster.
In the past, agencies or attorneys working with an expectant mother in one state may have challenges quickly connecting and learning about adopting couples in another state who may be a perfect match. Parent Match eliminates that hurdle.
"Every minute is so important in the adoption process, as is the ability to find a great fit between adopting parents, expectant mother and child," said New Jersey attorney Deborah Steincolor, who's been using the Parent Match system as part of an initial testing group. "Knowing I can connect with other adoption attorneys and agencies in a matter of seconds helps so much. I've already seen its potential to make a significant difference in how connections are made here in the United States between expectant mothers and prospective adoptive parents."
Marni Denenberg, Director of Domestic Adoption Programs for Alliance for Children in Massachusetts, who was an early member of the Parent Match network and has been using it to match clients successfully, agrees. "Parent Match is a win for everyone involved – for the adopting couple, the expectant mother who may have certain wishes for her child and everyone working to find and create families," says Denenberg.
"We are thrilled and gratified at how successfully Parent Match is being embraced by the adoption community, and are excited to be expanding before the first anniversary of our national launch," said Dr. Ingber. "Like all of our members, we are motivated by one thing – to help improve the domestic adoption process for everyone involved."
