LOS ANGELES, July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramount Pictures is partnering with Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing platform, to reach consumers and drive ticket sales for the highly anticipated summer blockbuster – "Star Trek Beyond" - with a creative two-week 360° marketing campaign leading up to the July 22 release.
The campaign will feature exclusive content from "Star Trek Beyond" that will premiere inside the app. Additionally, there will be a 15-second "Star Trek Beyond" co-branded in-theater spot (view here) that will air over a two-week period at AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas where Atom Tickets is live. Additional elements of the campaign include joint digital marketing campaigns, unique in-app customer promotions, and concession promotions. Moreover, Star Trek fans who are new to Atom Tickets will get their movie ticket for free.*
Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures said, "We are thrilled to partner with Atom Tickets. Their modern and easy to use platform is the very first to create a social experience around going to the movies. We believe Atom Tickets will strike a chord with audiences, and we are excited to support an innovative company that will strengthen the theatrical movie business."
"We are thrilled to launch our Atom 360 marketing program with 'Star Trek Beyond.' We're using our multi-faceted Atom Tickets resources to drive excitement and ticket sales for Paramount, Skydance, and Bad Robot's legendary franchise. Paramount has been a great partner, and we're breaking new ground to help market one of the biggest movies of the year. We're delighted to contribute to Star Trek's legacy of technological innovation," said Matthew Bakal, executive chairman and co-founder, Atom Tickets.
The revolutionary Atom Tickets platform lets consumers check show times, quickly and easily connect with friends, order tickets and even pre-pay for concession items with just a few simple taps. Atom Tickets makes the movie-going experience fast, easy and social – recommending movies based on history and preference, enabling invitations to friends and family, and providing the VIP experience of skipping ticket and concessions lines.
Atom Tickets is currently available at Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego), Atlanta, and Nashville. Atom Tickets is also available at select theaters across the U.S. and Canada, and Atom will be live nationwide by the end of summer.

How it Works:
Atom Tickets reimagines the most convenient way for users to plan a night out at the movies. Available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app provides relevant reviews, trailers and synopses to help customers make the best decision on what to see. Moviegoers may then invite friends (via Facebook or their contact lists) to purchase their own tickets to join them. Atom Tickets enables seamless ordering of tickets and concessions from any Android or iOS phone. At the theater, consumers go directly to the ushers and concession counters, where they simply scan a QR code at tablet kiosks. Paper tickets and IOUs have been replaced by Atom's innovative platform, which keeps all plans, messaging, payment and tickets in one place.
