Paralyzed Veterans of America Partners with Waffle House and Richard Petty to offer a Delicious Donation Opportunity
Campaign beginning Sept. 11 offers a free waffle for every donation to injured veterans
WASHINGTON, Sept. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) today announced another great partnership that offers a quick, convenient opportunity to support our nation's most catastrophically injured veterans. With the help of longtime partner Richard Petty, Waffle House will email Paralyzed Veterans' donors a coupon good for a free waffle as a token of appreciation for supporting veterans with spinal cord injury or disease.
"Paralyzed Veterans of America is grateful for this opportunity to share its mission for veterans with American families across the nation," said National President David Zurfluh. "Waffle House is a family tradition, and we are hopeful this outreach will inspire more dedicated supporters of our Mission: ABLE campaign, which strives to provide severely wounded veterans with access to what they've earned and deserve: Care, Jobs & Benefits. We thank Richard 'The King' Petty himself, for the ongoing support of these efforts, and we welcome Waffle House to the Paralyzed Veterans' family."
This campaign kicked off at a special event at the Waffle House in Sandstone, VA (just outside of Richmond) on Friday, September 8th. "It's an honor for Waffle House to partner with Paralyzed Veterans of America," said Walt Ehmer, Waffle House President and CEO. "We salute all those who have sacrificed so much for our country, and we are proud to be giving back to those who paid such a heavy price to preserve our freedom."
Richard Petty, who attended the Virginia kickoff event, added, "Our relationship with Paralyzed Veterans of America is the heart of our dedication to this country's best and bravest. We continue to strive to introduce its mission to other partners who want to show the same grateful return to the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom."
The campaign will run from Patriot Day on September 11 to Veterans Day on November 11, 2017. Waffle House customers, and all who want to support Paralyzed Veterans, are encouraged to visit pva.org/wafflehouse to give to the mission of ensuring disabled veterans are ABLE to have quality health care, life-sustaining jobs, and the VA benefits they've earned in return for their sacrifice to our country.
