parago Employees Exceed $100,000 In Charitable Giving To Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
In a commitment to giving back to the Dallas community, parago employees support the renowned children's orthopaedic hospital
LEWISVILLE, Texas, Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- parago, a global incentives and engagement company headquartered in the Dallas area, has exceeded $100,000 in employee charitable donations to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC). Although parago employs nearly 500 people worldwide, the TSRHC donations have come primarily from the staff of 200 in the Dallas office.
"We draw a talented workforce from the Dallas area. Our staff enjoys living here, so it is always a priority to give back to our community," said Juli Spottiswood, president & CEO of parago. "I am so proud that our employees have reached this noteworthy milestone. Texas Scottish Rite is an amazing organization doing incredible things for young patients in need."
The CARES Team, a group of volunteer employees, coordinates parago's charitable fundraising activities. For the past five years, they have selected TSRHC as their only beneficiary. CARES events have included a pie-in-the-face contest (which CEO Spottiswood has received), a humorous sumo wrestling tournament, bake sales, pancake breakfasts, silent auctions and more — all designed to encourage individual donations. In addition to financial support, parago employees give time to the hospital throughout the year, including an annual talent show in which they entertain hospital patients and staff.
Within a unique caring environment, patients at TSRHC benefit from a world-renowned medical staff and the promise of a brighter future, through the research and innovation driven by the hospital's five centers for excellence. TSRHC is consistently recognized as one of the premier pediatric orthopaedic hospitals in the world.
"Our hospital relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to continue its mission. Without donors like the parago CARES team, we would not be able to do what we do every day," said Stephanie Brigger, vice president of Development at TSRHC. "parago's support allows us to provide the best care to more than 17,000 children annually. Plus, the company's dedication of time has been enjoyed immensely by many children being treated at TSRHC over the years."
