Paradigm Named a Winner in 2016 World Oil Awards

EarthStudy 360^® was named the Best Exploration Technology for its innovative approach to high-resolution seismic imaging and interpretation of diffraction energy. This approach was developed to recover high-resolution data that is either underutilized or lost with standard seismic imaging procedures. The innovative processing method can recover and separate specular and different types of diffraction energy from recorded seismic data. The process maps and decomposes the fully recorded seismic wavefield into angle/azimuth components, in-place and in-depth, without integration or stacking, so that the lower energy associated with subsurface diffractions can be isolated and subsequently enhanced. This procedure is applicable to all exploration and field development projects. It provides an optimal platform for building azimuthally anisotropic, plausible geological models, which can lead to accurate seismic interpretation for risk-managed field development.
