SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Panoply, the smart cloud data warehouse built for business intelligence, today unveils greater availability of its Automated Query Materialization feature, which means queries will run up to 100x quicker making your reporting dashboards lightning fast.
With Automated Query Materialization, Panoply is solving the issue of slow or hanging queries that cause delay and frustration for data analysts who need insights in near real-time. Even if a query spans millions of rows and vast amounts of data, Automated Query Materialization will result in no hung queries, endless repetition of the same queries and faster access to actionable insights.
Automatic Query Materialization debuted to a few Panoply customers in late summer in "stealth" mode and, as of now, is widely available in Beta to Panoply's customer base. Currently, the feature is being used by 25 percent of Panoply's customers.
Panoply's Automated Query Materialization uses a proprietary "smart caching" feature. Unlike simple caching, smart caching is not based on just the last query you've made but rather based on Panoply's unique algorithm that learns how you actually query your data based on the query you need at the time you need it.
"We're able to make record-breaking fast query materialization because unlike our competitors, Panoply's smart data warehouse has built-in ETL", says Panoply CEO Yaniv Leven. He continues, "Automated Query Materialization means that because we are the ones that ingest and transform all your data sources, our algorithm can trigger the materialization while also keeping the data up-to-date."
