SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Yaniv Leven, CEO of Panoply, the smart cloud data warehouse built for business intelligence, today issued a statement challenging Airbnb's decision to ban Israeli rental listings in Judea and Samaria. Panoply will no longer use Airbnb for corporate travel and events going forward.
In an internal letter, Leven stated that, "…I have given this a month to pass by to see if they [Airbnb] can correct the reversal of their November decision in the matter, but they have not since they have announced today they are '...developing the tools needed to implement our policy…'"
Leven went on to state, "I believe that in this case, Airbnb inducted two flawed logical assumptions stemming from the hubris of knowledge... first in thinking the company 'knows' what 'truth' is… and secondly, that current knowledge is sufficient to define what is 'good.'"
In a personal tweet Leven wrote earlier today, "@Airbnb no person in @panoplyio will use your services until you dismiss your #antiSemitic policy by either implementing it on all disputed territories in the world or pulling back from the initial statement."
Leven welcomes a reversal from Airbnb and looks forward to this outcome.
