Panolam Industries' Expanded Product Management Team is Key Element of Company's Growth Strategy

SHELTON, Conn., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Panolam Industries has expanded its North American Regional Product Manager team as part of a broad growth strategy that includes product line extensions and the company's entry into the European market.

Panolam has added Regional Product Managers in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Its North American specification staff now totals more than 20 Regional Product Managers.

The expanded North American specification staff is in keeping with Panolam's broad growth strategy. Late in 2009 the company's Pionite® division introduced the Motion collection of High Pressure Laminates (HPL) for the North American market. In February, Panolam announced its entry into the European market with a collection of designs called "Nevamar® by Panolam."

Panolam also hired a sales team in the United Kingdom and is in discussions with several distributors. Plans call for a U.K. distribution facility to open this year.

The "Nevamar® by Panolam" collection features a full line of colors, including solids, abstracts and wood grains, plus special-order colors. The offering also features ThickLam laminates, Fiber Reinforced Laminate (FRL®) products, Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic products, MelCor II® color-through laminates, and Leatherlam™ thermally fused leather surfaces.
