WASHINGTON, March 14, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The framework for President Donald Trump's first federal budget proposal is expected to be released this Thursday. The following day, on March 17, the National Press Club is presenting a panel of federal budget experts to discuss the President's proposal at a National Press Club Newsmaker at 10 a.m., in the club's Conference Rooms.
Speaking on Friday's panel will be: Stan Collender, Executive Vice President of Qorvis MSLGROUP; Jim Dyer, a Principal at the Podesta Group; Bob Greenstein, president and founder of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities; and G. William Hoagland, senior vice president of the Bipartisan Policy Center.
Stan Collender of Qorvis MSLGROUP has worked for both the House and Senate Budget Committees and is the author of The Guide to the Federal Budget.
Jim Dyer of the Podesta Group served under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush as Deputy Assistant for Legislative Affairs. Prior to that he served for 13 years as the staff director and clerk on the House Appropriations Committee.
Bob Greenstein is the founder and president of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, a nonpartisan policy institute in Washington that works on federal and state budget and tax policy.
G. William Hoagland, currently at the Bipartisan Policy Center, served as the director of budget and appropriations for Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist. Prior to that, he spent 21 years on the Senate Budget Committee reporting to former Sen. Pete V. Domenici, (R-NM).
