Panel Discussion With Candy Crowley, Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill To Be Livestreamed on Newseum.org Oct. 23
WASHINGTON, Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., the Newseum will host "Campaign 2012 Coverage: Breaking New Ground," a panel discussion featuring three groundbreaking journalists — Candy Crowley of CNN, and Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill of PBS.
Sponsored by the Bipartisan Policy Center and held in the museum's Walter and Leonore Annenberg Theater, this event is exclusive to Newseum Press Pass members but will be livestreamed at no charge at newseum.org.
Crowley, CNN's chief political correspondent and anchor of "State of the Union With Candy Crowley," moderated the presidential debate at Hofstra University on Oct. 16, making her the first woman to moderate a presidential debate since 1992.
Woodruff, senior correspondent and co-anchor of "PBS NewsHour," and Ifill, moderator and managing editor of "Washington Week," anchored PBS's 2012 Republican and Democratic National Convention coverage, becoming the first all-female network anchor team for a convention.
During the program, hosted by Jim Duff, chief executive officer of the Newseum, the journalists will discuss covering presidential campaigns and offer their unique insights into the 2012 election. The program comes just one day after this year's final presidential debate and exactly two weeks before Election Day.
Access to the livestream of "Campaign 2012 Coverage: Breaking New Ground" will be available at newseum.org beginning at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23.
