The Lucerne Charm is crafted in sterling silver and is characterized by a mixture of classic and modern references resulting in a feminine design with an etching of the Lucerne flower on one side and a close up of the flower on the other. This flower is historically and traditionally known as a symbol of life and is believed to help rebuild the body after a serious or prolonged illness or weakness.
For a more personal touch, the charm opens to allow the wearer to engrave initials or a message inside as a special way to keep a loved one's memory alive or show support for someone currently facing breast cancer. The Lucerne Charm is available in sterling silver for $55 US/$65 CND.
The Lucerne Charm beautifully complements PANDORA's Pink Leather Bracelet, also new. Although the color pink is universally recognized as a symbol for the fight against breast cancer, the bracelet can also be worn with any selection of PANDORA charms. The single-braided, leather bracelet with a sterling silver PANDORA clasp retails for $30 US/$35 CND.
In addition, PANDORA's classic Pink Ribbon Charm – the brand's first piece specifically designed to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure – is available. The charm is available in sterling silver with pink zirconia for $45 US/ $50 CND and in 14k gold with pink sapphires for $300 US/ $345 CND.
Ten percent of the sales of the Lucerne Charm, Pink Ribbon Charms and Pink Leather Bracelet go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help support the organization's research and community-based outreach programs.
"We've been a proud partner of Komen for four years and continually look for ways to support them in their efforts to end breast cancer," said Angel Ilagan, PANDORA Chief Marketing Officer, North America. "PANDORA has donated over half a million dollars to the cause in the past two years alone and has committed to raising another $500,000 in 2010." In connection with this program, 75 percent of contributions from collection sales in Canada will benefit the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and support its research, education and awareness programs.
The new pieces are now available at authorized PANDORA retailers. For more information, visit PANDORA.net or Facebook.com/pandorajewelry.
