Panasonic ELS Studio® Audio Collaborator Elliot Scheiner Garners 2013 Emmy® Nomination For Work On Showtime's History Of The Eagles
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Elliot Scheiner, the multiple Grammy® Award-winning producer, engineer and collaborator on Panasonic's acclaimed ELS Studio audio system, has received his fifth Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming for his work on Showtime's History Of The Eagles.
Scheiner previously won an Emmy for his work with the Eagles on their farewell tour broadcast. He also has won seven Grammy awards.
"It is always a privilege to work with a legendary group like the Eagles, and to be nominated for an Emmy Award makes it even more rewarding," said Scheiner. "I feel deeply honored to be nominated for this award."
Scheiner is widely considered to be one of the leading recording and mixing authorities and is among the most accomplished sound engineers and producers in his field.
With 26 Grammy Award nominations, he received his most recent Grammy Award in 2012 in the category of Best Surround Sound Album for Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (Super Deluxe Edition). Scheiner's career includes work with such music legends as Steely Dan, Paul McCartney, Band of Horses, Faith Hill, Queen, Sting, Van Morrison and the Foo Fighters.
Scheiner has collaborated with Panasonic on the ELS audio systems for Acura® for more than 10 years. The latest version, ELS Studio, is now available on the 2014 Acura RLX and the 2014 Acura MDX.
"Elliot is a pioneer and innovator in both the studio and in the automobile," said Tom Dunn, Director of Marketing and New Business Development, Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America. "We have been fortunate to have such a longstanding and productive relationship. We would like to congratulate him on his Emmy Award nomination; it is well deserved recognition of his talents."
Since its 2004 debut in the Acura TL, the ELS audio system has received wide acclaim from the automotive press, audiophiles and musicians for its ability to reproduce music as it sounds in the studio.
In addition to Emmy and Grammy honors, Scheiner is the recipient of three TEC Awards, a Studio Pioneer Award and is a member of the TEC Hall of Fame.
