Palpitations of Dust to screen at HRIFF 2017

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 15th Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival (HRIFF) returns to Los Angeles for February 2017 to screen their most extensive program to date. Some of the biggest stars in Hollywood have confirmed to attend the 2017 event, including Pierce Brosnan and Sharon Stone.

One of the best new festival discoveries of the year is "Rose's Turn", a dramatic film from director Kymberly Harris, which screens at HRIFF on Thursday, February 23rd 2017, at 6:30pm, at the Laemmle's Beverly Hills Music Hall, as part of the festival's HRIFF Shorts Program 23A.

In "Rose's Turn", we follow the story of Marc, a young and handsome real estate mogul, and his beautiful wife Dani, who take the opportunity to move from Zurich to Los Angeles so Marc can work and Dani can study art history. 

Not having seen a dire homeless condition before, Dani has a pang of conscience and wants to give back. Unbeknownst to Marc, she spends the day with Rose and soon starts to unravel, forcing them to experience real life, in this touching masterpiece.

"Rose's Turn" is just part of amazing line-up of films and events that include the HRIFF Award Ceremony featuring Pierce Brosnan, Sharon Stone, William Fichtner, James Hong, Lori Petty, Jonathan Banks, Steven Weber, Clark Duke alongside many more filmmakers and stars, all to be honored at the Award Ceremony and Press Red Carpet on Feb 17^th 2017 at 6:00pm.

HRIFF 2017 takes place Feb 16^th – Feb 29^th in Los Angeles, with retrospectives featuring the films of John Milius, Diane Ladd, and Warren Beatty, as well as screenings of the final films from Robert Loggia, Doris Roberts and Mickey Rooney .

HRIFF presents new cinema featuring James Caan, Kris Kristofferson, Martin Landau, Emily Mortimer, Mira Sorvino, Paul Sorvino, Billy Zane, Ethan Embry, Harry Lennix, Kristen Bell, Ewen Bremner, Illeana Douglas, Sean Astin, Josh Brener, Brendan McCarthy, Isy Suttie, Robert Wuhl, Taryn Manning, Daniel Baldwin, Takuji Suzuki and Pauletta Washington.

HRIFF was created to screen emerging filmmakers alongside the most accomplished names in Hollywood.
