SAP Intelligence Analysis for Public Sector helps public safety and security agencies and state and local governments drive better preparedness and prevention, enhance service delivery and responsiveness, and improve safety and security outcomes. It strengthens the ability of those agencies to address a broad range of functions, including border protection, cyber security, fraud management, disaster response, money laundering and pandemic tracking.
"Our mission with this new reseller agreement with Palantir is to further enable public safety and security agencies to run better," said Sean O'Brien, vice president, Public Safety and Security, SAP. "The integrated offerings from SAP and Palantir will allow us to address end-to-end intelligence processes for our customers in the public sector. SAP Intelligence Analysis and Public Sector complements and extends our existing portfolio, and will allow us to speed innovation for our customers, helping them to improve processes that can lead to increased intelligence and security, helping make communities safer."
SAP Intelligence Analysis for Public Sector complements the SAP® BusinessObjects™ portfolio of solutions and technology, including analytic applications, and integrates with SAP® BusinessObjects™ Text Analysis software. It is a comprehensive offering for intelligence analysts and investigators, allowing them to integrate structured and unstructured data across classification and security levels, perform advanced search and discovery, leverage enterprise-wide knowledge management, and create intra- and inter-agency collaboration within a secure environment. When used together with SAP® for Public Sector solutions such as the SAP® Investigative Case Management for Public Sector package and SAP BusinessObjects Text Analysis, it delivers powerful capabilities that allow agencies to address end-to-end intelligence analysis scenarios in situations involving homeland security, fraud, public safety, public security and/or counter-terrorism.
"With our next-generation platform, users can integrate and work with any kind of data at any scale while enforcing robust privacy and civil liberties protections," said Dr. Alexander Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies. "Because it is a fully productized solution, the cost and time required for implementation is significantly less than a custom-built solution. Through this agreement with SAP, we can leverage the strengths of both companies to better address the needs of customers in the public sector, helping them to anticipate issues and make better decisions."
