PAE and BWXT Joint Venture, Syncom Space Services (S3), Re- Awarded NASA SACOM Contract
ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Syncom Space Services LLC (S3) has been re-awarded a contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to support the Synergy Achieving Consolidated Operations and Maintenance (SACOM) program. The value of this performance-based hybrid contract has a maximum value of $1.2B, with a one-year base period and seven option periods totaling nine years and five months.
The SACOM award is a consolidation of contracts at two NASA facilities – the Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Hancock County, Mississippi, and the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The S3 team will provide centralized management of the facility operations and maintenance requirements and the test and manufacturing services at SSC and MAF.
