Portland Business Journal recognizes Pacific Continental Bank for service to the community and nonprofit organizations
EUGENE, Ore., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Continental Corporation (Nasdaq: PCBK), the bank holding company of Pacific Continental Bank, today announced that it was recently honored by the Portland Business Journal for the 2010 Corporate Philanthropy Awards. Pacific Continental Bank was recognized as one of the top ten companies in charitable giving to Oregon and Southwest Washington nonprofit organizations in the small company category (less than $10 million in revenue).
Pacific Continental ranked fourth overall in the "Corporate Philanthropists" category, which highlights the 2009 cash contributions of companies to area nonprofit organizations. The publication also recognized that corporate support of nonprofit organizations can be achieved through a variety of channels, including donated employee pro bono hours and in-kind donations of goods and services. Pacific Continental ranked first in the small company category for pro bono hours contributed to nonprofit organizations.
