Pacific Coast Wrestling Announces Competitors for "Release the Kraken"

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Coast Wrestling (PCW) announced the participants for its debut professional wrestling event, "Release the Kraken", which will take place January 9, 2016 at the Oak Street Gym Facility in Torrance, CA.

The competitors for the event are headlined by former WWE® United States Champion, WWE Tag Team Champion and IWGP (New Japan Pro Wrestling®) Intercontinental Champion, MVP along with the only wrestler to simultaneously hold both the NWA and AWA World Heavyweight Championships, the Almighty Sheik.

The event also features former TNA® X Division Champion, TJ Perkins, former Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (NWA Hollywood) Television and Heritage Heavyweight Champion, Scorpio Sky, All Pro Wrestling (APW) Universal Heavyweight Champion and Premier Heavyweight Champion, "The God of War" JR Kratos, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion, Graves, and former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, "Golden Boy" Dylan Drake.

"Release the Kraken", which is presented by Micheladas Antojitos, is an homage to the 80s cult movie classic, Clash of the Titans. Scharnagl stated, "We intend for 'Release the Kraken' to feature an exciting, strong-style brand of professional wrestling to which fans will gravitate."
