PacAvi Group Adds China's GAMECO for Global Reach in Airbus A320 and A321 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) Conversions
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PacAvi Group (http://pacavi.com/) announced today that it is partnering with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO) to address the Chinese and Asian markets for Airbus A320 and A321 passenger-to-freighter conversions.
PacAvi Group CEO Dr. Stephan Hollmann commented on the latest addition to its global family of freighter conversion partners. "We view GAMECO as an exciting addition to our global network of MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) and engineering partners. We continue to make swift and steady progress toward the commercial introduction of A320 family freighters in 2016 and 2017. GAMECO is an ideal partner to address the world's fastest growing markets. There are 50-60 narrowbody freighters of A320 and A321 size produced annually and we are well positioned to dominate this market in the coming years."
Peter Kamenz, Director of International Sales and Marketing at GAMECO, added: "The cargo and express markets in China and elsewhere in Asia are positioned for the kind of swift growth that Europe and the United States experienced over the last several decades. This is a perfect fit for Airbus A320 and A321 freighters. They represent highly technologically advanced products at the right prices for our marketplace. The timing could not be better."
Norbert Marx, General Manager of GAMECO, commented: "The prospects for the A320 and A321 freighters to serve our markets is one of the most exciting developments I've seen since I entered this industry over two decades ago at Lufthansa. With having worked B737 and A300 P2F conversion in the past as well as serving a wide range of cargo operators for the local as well as global market, GAMECO has the right essentials for such partnership. We look forward to supporting PacAvi through P2F conversions and engineering services, as well as potentially providing kits and components for the P2F process."
