PA Treasurer Rob McCord Gauges Pennsylvania's Economic Temperature With The McCord Report

Quarterly newsletter compiles key data about the Commonwealth's economy

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord today unveiled the first issue of The McCord Report, a quarterly report on Pennsylvania's economic vital signs and key quantitative indicators.    

"Thanks to my background in finance and business, I bring an obsessive focus on data and metrics to my job as State Treasurer," said Treasurer McCord.  "The McCord Report is designed to share my obsession with data about the economic health of our Commonwealth."

Information about the state's various economic indicators is not always centralized and easy-to-obtain, Treasurer McCord noted.  The Treasurer and his staff routinely cull data from various sources at the local, state, and national level.  

Through The McCord Report, Treasurer McCord aims to gather in one place key data points about Pennsylvania's economic health.  

"My goal as Treasurer is simple: to increase the economic security and prosperity of Pennsylvanians any way I can, and good information fuels that effort," Treasurer McCord said.
