PA Lottery Cash 5, Match 6 Games Each Offer $1 Million Prizes Tonight
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Jackpots totaling $2 million are on the line tonight for the Pennsylvania Lottery's Cash 5 and Match 6 Lotto games. Each game's prize is worth an estimated $1 million.
The Cash 5 jackpot has been rolling since one ticket matched the five numbers drawn on Jan. 24, winning a $500,000 jackpot. Cash 5 is drawn nightly.
The jackpot for Match 6 Lotto, drawn Mondays and Thursdays, has been growing since Dec. 26, when one ticket matched the six numbers drawn and won a $3.4 million prize.
Both games will be drawn during the Lottery's live televised drawing show at 6:59 p.m.
How to play Cash 5: To play Cash 5, players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-962,598; the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1-in-10.5.
How to Play Match 6 Lotto: Match 6 tickets cost $2 each. Players can choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or have numbers randomly selected by computer. The computer will then randomly select an additional two sets of six numbers, for three lines of six numbers each or 18 numbers total. Players can win up to four times on each ticket – once on each of three lines (base play) and by combining all 18 numbers (combined play). Match 6 Lotto drawings are held on Monday and Thursday evenings.
