PA Human Relations Commission Dismisses Disability Discrimination Complaint Against Haverford Township, Delaware County
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission issued an order dismissing a disability discrimination complaint filed by James C. Gillespie, of Havertown, Delaware County against his former employer, the Township of Haverford, also in Delaware County. The order was issued Monday, Aug. 22.
Gillespie filed a complaint alleging that the township discriminated against him by refusing to provide a reasonable accommodation for his disability and subsequently dismissing him from the job because of his disability.
After a public hearing, the commission found that Gillespie had not produced sufficient evidence to support his claims.
