PA Department of Labor & Industry Launches All New UC.PA.GOV Website
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) recently launched the all-new uc.pa.gov, a one-stop-shop for all unemployment compensation needs. The newly redesigned website is modern, easy to navigate, and provides a rewarding customer experience.
"It was our goal to reduce the stress on those individuals in need of unemployment compensation benefits by giving them a website that makes working with government feel less governmental," said L&I Secretary Kathy Manderino. "We think we've achieved that and much more with our redesigned site."
Some of the highlights of the new site include:
- The addition of more pages translated into Spanish and accessible from either the home page or at www.uc.pa.gov/espanol.
- The use of responsive design, improving user experience and allowing for more mobile-friendly access. Through the use of responsive design, the website can detect the user's screen size and orientation and optimize the layout accordingly. Since the site launched on Dec. 9, 2015, mobile usage has increased exponentially.
- To aid in faster access to information, there are "quick links" and a "resources" tab that efficiently direct users to frequently accessed pages.
- The site features a more robust search engine that guides users to the appropriate pages quickly and accurately.
In addition, UC tax and employer information, previously hosted on dli.pa.gov, is now located on the new uc.pa.gov, making the website a convenient, all-inclusive network for unemployment compensation activity in Pennsylvania.
