P4 Diagnostix Announces Vito Santarsieri, MD, as Director of Gastrointestinal Pathology

EAST SETAUKET, N.Y., Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- P4 Diagnostix™ is pleased to announce Vito Santarsieri, MD, as Division Director of GI Pathology.

Dr. Vito Santarsieri leads the GI pathology team at P4 Diagnostix ("P4"), bringing more than 25 years of expertise in sub-specialized anatomic pathology and cytopathology to the medical team.  "Dr. Santarsieri will help establish unmatched standards of medical quality and service excellence to serve gastroenterologists in their need for definitive pathologic diagnosis and consultation," said Sathish Reddy, CEO of P4 Diagnostix.  "We are very excited about the wealth of expertise Dr. Santarsieri brings to P4 to lead our GI pathology program."

Prior to joining P4, Dr. Santarsieri held the roles of Senior Pathologist at CBLPath, Inc., Medical Director of Gastrocor™, the GI pathology division of Bostwick Laboratories® and Executive Medical Director at Dianon Pathology, a division of LabCorp, where he built the GI pathology team into an industry leader. During his tenure, he developed and implemented numerous measures that earned accolades for increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of his team, setting industry standards that continue today.

Dr. Santarsieri is board certified in anatomic pathology and cytopathology. He received his MD from the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy. After completing residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York, he became a fellow of surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and a cytopathology fellow at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, under the direction of the late Dr. Leopold Koss.
