Dr. Liz Fogel, director of education with the Walt Disney Company, was elected to her second term as Chair of the Executive Board and Strategic Council. "I am deeply humbled by the tremendous support of my P21 colleagues and am honored to continue on as chair. P21 has made great strides over the last year, but more work needs to be done so that we can ensure all children have access to a high quality 21st century educations. I look forward to working with my colleagues at P21 to make this vision a reality," said Fogel.
Joining Dr. Fogel on the Executive Board as officers are David Young, CEO of VIF International Education, as vice-chair; Dr. Cliff Green, vice president of education and strategic partnerships of Learning.com; Dr. Craig Bach, vice president of education of Goddard Schools; and Stephan Turnipseed, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Destination Imagination.
Returning Executive Board members are Brenda Andolina, director of global public relations of Fisher-Price; Peggy Brookins, president and CEO of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards; and Cheri Sterman, director of education of Crayola. Scott Brody, special representative of the American Camp Association; Monica Cougan, senior product marketing professional of ENA; and J. Scott Wunn, executive director of the National Speech and Debate Association are newly elected members of the Executive Board.
Lillian Kellogg, senior vice president of client services with ENA, ended her term on the Executive Board after seven years. "P21 owes a debt of gratitude to Lil for the tremendous contributions she has made to P21 over the years, especially during her tenure as chair," said Fogel.
Kellogg intends to remain a strong advocate of P21's work. "I truly treasure the time I spent serving on P21's Executive Board and especially value the remarkable people I met along the way," said Kellogg. "Even though I will not formally hold a leadership position with P21, I remain fully committed to P21's mission and work, and look forward to staying active and engaged in this amazing and important organization," she added.
