HOUSTON, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Millar, Inc., medical device manufacturer and OEM pressure sensor integration partner, today announced the appointment of P. (Laxmin) Laxminarain to the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Laxminarain's successful track record in the medical device industry for over 30 years will provide Millar a significant upgrade in governance talent to support strategic company decisions going forward.
Mr. Laxminarain brings a deep level of medical device expertise to the Board from his past experiences as Worldwide President of Codman Neurosurgery (a Johnson & Johnson company) from 2006 to 2017, which was acquired by Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation in October 2017. Additionally, he served as Vice President-CVT for Cordis Cardiology and has held other senior medical device positions in India, Singapore and South Korea under Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Laxminarain is currently a member on five other boards and is actively involved helping start-ups and non-profits in the medical device space. He earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
