Oxygen Forensic Suite 7.2 Shakes Data out of Popular Travel and Booking Apps
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Oxygen Forensics updates its flagship mobile forensic solution, Oxygen Forensic® Suite, adding support for travel and booking applications for iOS and Android platforms. Supporting mobile versions of Expedia, Booking.com, TripIt, SkyScanner, US Airways, American Airlines, FlyDelta, CheckMyTrip, EasyJet, Aeroflot, GetTaxi and other travel-related applications, the update extracts, aggregates and analyzes suspects' past and planned trips.
"Even criminals have to book their trip somewhere. And that routinely happens online," says Oleg Fedorov, Oxygen CEO. "In this update, Oxygen Forensic Suite will automatically extract data about the suspect's past and planned trips from popular travel apps. By aggregating multiple sources, the tool can reconstruct detailed information about the trip from buying plane tickets, checking in for the trip, booking a stay and even taking a taxi."

Now including comprehensive traveling information, the updated Oxygen Forensic Suite builds the most complete profile of a suspect by extracting information from financial, booking and travel tools, retrieving tracking data from sports and fitness apps, parsing mail messages and extracting translation histories.
Support for Popular iOS and Android Booking and Traveling Apps
In this release, Oxygen Forensic Suite targets mobile apps used for booking and managing trips, handling airline check-ins and securing taxi rides. In particular, the added support for Expedia on both Android and iOS platforms covers one of the most popular (if not THE most popular) travel app used by millions of customers to book trips and hotels. In addition, support for the latest version of Expedia's strongest competitor, Booking.com, has been added. The latest versions of bargain-hunting travel apps including SkyScanner and TripIt have been added for both Android and iOS platforms, as well as Kayak and CheckMyTrip.
In addition to popular aggregation portals, the latest release brings support for carrier-specific apps including US Airways, American Airlines, FlyDelta, and Aeroflot. Information available in these apps may include data on booked trips, web check-ins, boarding passes, baggage labels and bag tracking information.
Finally, there is added support for popular taxi booking apps such as Addison Lee - London Minicabs, GetTaxi and Yandex.Taxi, enabling investigators to extract information about the suspect's taxi rides booked in one of those popular applications.
The new release not only extracts information out of popular travel apps. The tool aggregates collected data, placing bits and pieces of information collected from various apps and places those into high-level categories.
