Oxygen Forensic Suite 2015: Faster Data Extraction and Real-Time Analysis
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Oxygen Forensics updates its flagship mobile forensic solution, Oxygen Forensic® Suite, adding options for speeding up acquisition and analysis. The new fast data extraction option enables experts to quickly dump the content of iOS and Android devices to the hard drive for subsequent importing, allowing forensic labs separating and paralleling data extraction and data processing. The newly added option to use Watch Lists during the extraction enables investigators to see data based on predefined keywords immediately while waiting for the extraction process to complete.

Now including several options to parallel, speed up acquisition, extraction and analysis, the updated Oxygen Forensic Suite offers better productivity of larger forensic labs while enabling individual investigators using their time effectively.
Watching for Evidence during the Extraction
"Extracting the content of a modern device can take a long time. If timing is essential, experts will no longer have to sit through the extraction process," says Oleg Fedorov, Oxygen CEO. "Instead, they can now use a Watch list to see items and records with pre-defined keywords pop up in real-time during the extraction."
Oxygen Forensic Suite adds the Watch lists section. The new section is updated in real time during the data extraction process, and reveals records and items that match one of the pre-defined keywords. By using the Watch lists section, investigators start seeing the results arriving in just moments after they launch the extraction process.
Separating Acquisition and Analysis Stages
Oxygen Forensic Suite is all about integration. Integrating acquisition, parsing and analysis into a single forensic package offers forensic customers one of the most balanced solutions on the market. In this release, Oxygen Forensic Suite targets forensic labs with dedicated acquisition and analysis departments, separating data extraction and data processing to enable the different departments work in parallel.
If a lab has multiple devices to process, separating the acquisition stage from data processing and analysis allows spreading the two time-consuming processes that require different sets of skills and qualifications from the expert.
The latest release of Oxygen Forensic Suite adds the option to quickly produce iTunes backups from iOS devices and make physical dumps of Android OS devices, saving the binary images on a PC for subsequent importing, parsing or passing to another expert.
