Oxford Royale Academy Receives Highest Award for British Business
OXFORD, England, April 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Education provider Oxford Royale Academy (ORA) has been named as a 2016 recipient of the highest possible accolade for British businesses - the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
The Oxford-based organisation is no stranger to royal recognition, having already received the Queen's Award in 2012 following its sustained growth and considerable international reach. Since its establishment in 2004, ORA has welcomed ever-increasing numbers of students from all over the world onto its sought-after academic programmes; last summer, students from more than 100 different nationalities attended a range of courses catering to all backgrounds and enthusiasms. Since 2012 alone, courses such as Computer Science, Introduction to Law, and even Architecture have been added to ORA's flourishing catalogue of high-calibre study options.
As well as an established summer school - the most successful residential programme of its kind in Oxford - ORA has, in recent years, turned its energies towards an International Study Centre, in order to offer the ORA experience all year round. The acquisition of Yarnton Manor, a picturesque Jacobean manor house in rural Oxfordshire, has enabled ORA to create a truly international academic environment dedicated to the needs of bright, motivated students from across the globe.
Founded by Oxford graduate William Humphreys, ORA was initially created as a small summer programme among multiple competitors, and has gone on to establish itself as a market leader, employing more than 250 staff during peak season. The company is accredited by the British Council and the British Accreditation Council, and is a member of such reputable organisations as EnglishUK and the Council of British International Schools. In addition to its two Queen's Award triumphs, ORA has won the British Educational Travel Association's prestigious Best Educational Product award five times since 2010.
ORA staff will be presented with the Queen's Award at a formal ceremony held by the Lord-Lieutenant, and an ORA representative will be honoured with a visit to Her Majesty's Buckingham Palace in July.
