Oxford Resource Partners, LP to Ring New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell in Celebration of Recent IPO
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oxford Resource Partners, LP (NYSE: OXF) (the "Company" or "Oxford") announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Charles C. Ungurean, joined by members of Oxford's board of directors and management team, will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday August 11, 2010, in celebration of the Company's recent initial public offering.
Mr. Ungurean commented, "With the successful completion of our $162 million initial public offering in conjunction with the closing of our $175 million credit facility last month, we increased Oxford's financial flexibility, which we believe will enhance our ability to execute our strategic plan. We reinvested a portion of the net proceeds from these transactions to fund the buyout of equipment operating leases and purchase major mining equipment, both of which will drive our per ton operating costs lower. These actions are expected to further enhance our low-cost profile in the markets in which we operate. We believe that the Illinois Basin assets we acquired in western Kentucky, the use of larger scale equipment and our long-term customer contracting strategy will support future growth in distributable cash flow for our unitholders.
"We are honored to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange in commemoration of this important milestone in Oxford's history and would like to thank our dedicated employees for making this achievement possible."
