Scott K. Ryan and Nicholas O. Detmer bring institutional investment leadership from endowment, public pension and consulting roles to Oxford's private markets team

CARMEL, Ind., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Oxford Financial Group, Ltd., one of the largest independent RIA firms in the country, has appointed Scott K. Ryan, MBA, CFA, and Nicholas O. Detmer, MBA, CFA, CAIA, as Managing Directors and partners of the firm. Ryan and Detmer join Regent Street, Oxford's private markets team, where they will lead the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of primary fund commitments and co-investments, including opportunities with emerging managers. Together, they bring institutional investment experience from the Indiana University Foundation, the Indiana Public Retirement System and Aksia.

Both will also serve as Oxford Investment Fellows®, fully dedicated to the firm's investment work. Oxford Investment Fellows hold senior investment leadership roles within the firm and bring institutional-grade expertise across family offices, foundations, endowments, pension plans and insurance companies.

Ryan spent more than 11 years as Senior Director of Investments at the Indiana University Foundation, where he helped oversee a meaningful share of the Foundation's approximately $3.8 billion endowment. He led sourcing, in-house due diligence and general partner relationships across global buyouts, early-stage venture capital, real assets and hedge fund strategies, completing numerous fund and co-investment commitments over his tenure. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, is a CFA charterholder and serves as Chair of the Institutional Advisory Panel of the CFA Society Indianapolis.

Detmer joins Oxford from Aksia, where he was a Managing Director advising several large institutional investors as an alternatives-focused investment consultant. He previously spent nearly a decade with the Indiana Public Retirement System in a range of investment and team leadership roles, including Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Director of Private Equity and Director of Fixed Income & Credit. Detmer holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and is both a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.
