"Since its launch, Oakridge® has been one of our most popular and beloved product lines," said Sue Burkett, marketing leader for Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt. "These new Artisan Colors offer homeowners greater design flexibility while providing our professional partners with additional opportunities for sales growth."
Available in early February 2013, the new Artisan Colors build a bridge from Owens Corning's traditional Oakridge® color offerings to its high-contrast TruDefinition® Duration® Shingle colors. This new collection is only available in the Oakridge® line and will offer five colors inspired by nature's beauty in each region. The popular Oakridge® traditional colors will remain in the line unchanged. Homeowners will be excited because the colors provide enhanced color contrast and pronounced shadow lines for ultimate curb appeal. Contractors will benefit by having a more complete offering to present to homeowners who are looking for both value and distinctive, colorful aesthetics.
To develop these innovative shades, the Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt team gathered research on homeowner preferences and took direction from leading color experts and historical color trend data. The resulting Artisan Colors are specially designed to provide a unique blend of artistry and craftsmanship, with particular emphasis on regional color preference.
The entire Oakridge® product line offers a step up from traditional three-tab shingles, with a Limited Lifetime Warranty*/+ and 10-Year Algae Resistance Limited Warranty* for additional peace of mind. The high-performance collection also is protected by a 110/130 mph Wind Resistance Limited Warranty**. In addition, Oakridge® Shingles are part of the new Owens Corning Total Protection Roofing System™***, an integrated system of Owens Corning roofing components designed to work together to maximize a roof's performance and durability. High-quality shingles and underlayment products help guard against the weather outside, while ventilation products help balance air flow to control temperature and humidity inside the attic.
"With the addition of Oakridge® Shingles in Artisan Colors, homeowners have a wide, rich spectrum of color options so they can create their ideal roof design combined with the confidence of performance and protection that comes with our Total Protection Roofing System™," added Burkett.
