Owens Corning Earns Top Marks in 2015 Corporate Equality Index
TOLEDO, Ohio, Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Owens Corning today announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index. The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality. It is conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
The 2015 CEI rated 972 businesses in the report. It evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
Owens Corning's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria resulted in a 100-percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. The company has met the criteria for perfect score for 11 consecutive years.
