Owens Corning Announces EcoTouch™ PINK™ FIBERGLAS™ Insulation With PureFiber™ Technology
New insulation product platform designed to provide complete energy performance, making homes and building more energy-efficient, sustainable and comfortable
TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Owens Corning (NYSE: OC), manufacturer of multiple product solutions that increase the energy efficiency, comfort and beauty of homes and buildings, today announces the launch of its EcoTouch™ PINK™ FIBERGLAS™ Insulation product platform with PureFiber™ Technology.

Owens Corning EcoTouch insulation fuses the industry-leading thermal and acoustical performance characteristics of Owens Corning PINK FIBERGLAS insulation with the innovative, new PureFiber Technology. The result is a new class of high-performance residential and commercial insulation made with natural(1) materials and a minimum of 30 percent post-consumer recycled content and 50 percent total recycled content – the highest certified percentage in the fiberglass insulation industry(2) EcoTouch insulation also has achieved GREENGUARD Children & Schools(SM) Certification and is verified to be formaldehyde free, meeting stringent certification standards for indoor air quality.

- Manufactured with a minimum of 30 percent post-consumer recycled content and 50 percent total recycled content – the highest certified percentage in the fiberglass insulation industry – EcoTouch insulation products will help homeowners participate in glass recycling efforts, keeping waste out of landfills and turning it into usable products.
- EcoTouch insulation products are made with PureFiber Technology, with natural materials and a formaldehyde-free formulation.
- Every pound of glass fiber thermal insulation annually saves 12 times more energy than was originally used to produce it.
