OWASP AppSecUSA 2016 Set to Take Place in Washington, D.C. October 11-14; Attendee Registration, Call for Conference Papers and Call for Training Open
Premier Application Security Event Expected to Draw Approximately 1,200 Attendees from Around the World
WASHINGTON, April 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), the worldwide nonprofit organization focused on improving the security of software, today announced its 13th Annual AppSecUSA Conference will take place in Washington, D.C. from October 11-14 at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Registration to attend the event, and the call for conference papers and call for training are now open.
AppSecUSA 2016 is comprised of two days of training followed by a two-day conference where software security leaders, researchers and technologists discuss cutting-edge ideas and technological advancements to secure web applications.
Call for Conference Papers:
What: AppSecUSA presentations should focus on various areas of information security, including the technical and social aspects. Speakers can submit a proposal via the online portal.
Deadline: The deadline to submit for round one is April 15; Round two is June 10
Call for Training:
What: Training applicants are welcome to submit on any topic related to web application security and OWASP. Trainers can submit a proposal via the online portal.
Deadline: The deadline to submit is May 15, 2016
If interested in a shorter speaking opportunity, apply for the Lightning Talks and share a brief 15 minute discussion on the application security topic of your choice. Deadline to submit an application is April 15 for round one and June 10 for round two.
